Online casinos are legal in Greenland when they hold a Danish gambling licence from Spillemyndigheden plus the special permit required to operate in Greenland. Winnings are tax-free, MobilePay withdrawals usually take under two hours, and every operator listed here is verified against both requirements before we recommend it.
This page is written in English for international and English-speaking players in Greenland. Prefer Danish? Go to our Danish homepage.
Every casino below holds both a Danish licence and the extraordinary permit to serve players in Greenland, so all are legal to use, pay out tax-free winnings and accept MobilePay. The list is ordered by our overall rating.

Yes. Greenland follows Danish gambling law, but with an important extra step. An operator must first obtain a regular Danish online-casino licence from Spillemyndigheden (valid for five years) and then apply for an extraordinary permit to market and offer gambling in Greenland. Supervision is shared between Spillemyndigheden and the Greenlandic police. As a player you are not punished for playing, but you only get legal protection and tax-free winnings on properly licensed sites.
This double requirement is why our list is shorter than a typical Danish casino guide. Many operators hold a Danish licence, but far fewer have also secured the Greenland permit. Operators must additionally provide permanent player information in Kalaallisut (Greenlandic) and comply with local consumer rules. We cross-check every name against Spillemyndigheden's register and remove any operator whose Greenland permit lapses.
One of the biggest advantages of playing at a Danish-licensed casino from Greenland is that your winnings are 100% tax-free — including winnings from bonus money. The casino pays gambling duty on its revenue, so you never report casino winnings to the tax authorities. This only holds for licensed operators; winnings from unlicensed foreign casinos can be taxable and carry no player protection.
MobilePay is the fastest and most popular option for players in Greenland and works at almost every Danish licence holder, with withdrawals typically clearing in under two hours. Bank transfers to a NemKonto take 1–3 business days. Dankort, Visa, Mastercard, Trustly and Apple Pay are widely accepted, though some e-wallets may be unavailable from Greenland. You can compare methods in detail on our payment-methods guide (in Danish).
Every review is based on real testing across six weighted pillars: safety and licence, bonuses, game selection, payments, customer support and the mobile experience. We create an account, complete verification, deposit funds, test the bonus terms and contact support before scoring. You can read the full method (in Danish) on our review methodology page, and browse every operator on our Danish casino list.
Gambling should be entertainment, not a source of income. Set limits for time and money before you start, and stop when it stops being fun. In Greenland, Allorfik provides free, confidential treatment for gambling addiction from five regional centres. You can self-exclude from every Danish-licensed casino at once through ROFUS.nu, and StopSpillet (+45 70 22 28 25) offers free, anonymous advice and takes calls from Greenland. More resources are on our responsible gambling page.
